Team PEAC-FAPE Visits PCA

SSG/SPG Officers Attend Training

 

The Paraclete Christian Academy Supreme Students Government & Supreme Pupils Government Officers attends the 3-day leadership training seminar on January 21-23, 2010 at City Central School, Cagayan de Oro City.

 

The 3-day seminar was conducted by Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs (CSCA) headed by Mr. Joey Pelaez the CSCA Director, and brought with him with various speakers.  “Team SSG making the Dream Works” was the theme of the training.

 

There were more or less 3000 delegates coming from the various schools from the division of Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City & Gingoog City.  The PCA delegates were compose of Mr. Demosthenes A. Agocoy Jr, the chaperon, together with him were Legien Pabualan and Aime Pailagao, representing the SSG, while Mary Angelou Trapal, Nicole Abendan & Flores Dee Capistrano, representing the SPG.

 

The highlights of the event were teachings, talent shows and interactive activities.  The 3-day training seminar was ended very successful.

Mr. & Mr. PCA Foundation 2010 crowned

 

Isaiah Demsil Tangcawan and April Rose Acobo crowned as Mr. & Ms. PCA Foundation on December 17, 2010 at VMW Resort, Limpatogao, Poblacion, Salay, Misamis Oriental. The coronation was started at 1:00 P.M. and it was witnessed by the parents, classmates, faculty & staff, friends and visitors.

The program was started with a prayer and interpretative dance by the selected 1st year high school student and the national anthem was conducted by Ms. Margaret Gumahin the Grade VI adviser.  It was followed by the opening remarks by Mrs. Marichel Salvaña the Chairman of the Foundation Day 2010 Celebration.  A message and reading of the PCA history by no less than the PCA Director Rev. Demosthenes N. Agocoy Sr.  With the audience highlighted of the VMW Resort, background of the swimming pools and slides venue, a very inspirational message was delivered by the Municipal Mayor Romeo L. Gue, who was just arrived from Cagayan de Oro City.

After speeches, lets come to the main part of the program, it was the pinning of sashes, giving of trophies, crowning and giving the cape and scepter to the Mr. & Ms. Foundation.  A serenade was giving by Ms. Rufima Caculba of 1st Year-Zion student and Mr. Rey Roxas, the Gary V of PCA.  And the climax of the program was the royal dance headed by the Mr. & Ms. Foundation 2010.

Mrs. Macarita Agocoy, School Administrator gave some announcement while Mr. Raffy Taban, 1st year adviser gave the word of thanks to the donors and benefactors, and thanking also to Congressman Peter Unabia for the fresh milk he was giving to PCA to support the feeding program. Mr. Aristotle Caser & Ms. Gretchin Jamon was the program hosts.

Tangcawan, Acobo overcome foundation day final canvassing.

 

Isaiah Demsil Tangcawan of Kinder 1-Joy and April Rose Acobo of Grade V-The Way overcame the 2nd and final canvassing on December 10, 2010 and to be crowned as the Mr. & Ms Foundation Day for the upcoming 14th Foundation Day Celebration to be held on December 17-21, 2010.

Isaiah Demsil who trailed by Juan Gabriel Cagang of Nursery-Baby Jesus steadied his lead with 169.25 pesos only. While, April Rose is come-from-behind win surprise early leader Raien Maizel Hebia of Grade IV-Jeremiah with 67.75 pesos lead for the last minute counting.

Isaiah Demsil Tangcawan is a son of Mr. & Mrs Larry B. Tangcawan of Looc, Salay, Misamis Oriental. And April Rose Acobo is a daughter of Mr. & Mrs Acobo of Casulog, Salay, Misamis Oriental joint the elite of Mr. & Ms Foundation.

PCA Starts Feeding Program

The Paraclete Christian Academy, Salay, Misamis Oriental started the feeding program on November 28-29, 2010.  The feeding program supported by the Bethesda International Ministries initially facilitates 20 children from the community surrounded the school campus.  The 20 children have undergone weight-in to determine the weight of every child if they were underweight.  The children take the VitaMeal food which has 25 essential vitamins to feed the malnourish and lack of vitamin children.  The main objective of the program is to eradicate malnutrition of the area.

No least than Rev. Demosthenes N. Agocoy Sr., School Director and Mrs. Macarita A. Agocoy, School Administrator initiated the program.  The program will continue at least 3 days every week and will last until there is no malnourish in the area. Click photo to view more photos.

PCA Attends Thanksgiving

The PCA Teacher, staff and students attended the 17th thanksgiving celebration of the Kalingking MCF Church at Kalingking, Malitbog, Bukidnon on November 20, 2010.  Headed by no other than the School Director, Rev. Demosthenes N. Agocoy Sr. where at the same time the Head Pastor of Magdadasig Christian Fellowship.  The team went as early as 5.00 A.M. to experience the 4 hours thanksgiving celebration.  The PCA team welcomed by the Kalingking MCF brethren headed by Ptr. Dr. Donald V. Soriano Visits PCA

 

Dr. Donald V. Soriano, Executive Director of Philippine Association of International Gospel Assembly (PAIGA) link with Bethesda International Ministries visited Paraclete Christian Academy last November 16, 2010 for the launching of Feeding Program in Misamis Oriental province.

   Dr. Donald, together with his wife and Dr. Timothy Yap, PAIGA Cagayan de Oro Chapter, traveled from main office Baguio for the inauguration and installation for the PAIGA East Misamis Oriental office based in Paraclete Christian Academy, Salay, Misamis Oriental.  The Feeding Program’s main objective is to eradicate malnutrition in the area.

   If you have any concern for the malnutrition in your area you may contact Ptr. Larry B. Tangcawan, at Paraclete Christian Academy.

   Meanwhile, Salay Municipal Kagawad Brenda T. Flores, Chairman on Health welcomed Dr. Soriano and assured that she will support the program.  Click the picture to see more pictures.

Macarita A. Agocoy attended PEAC-FAPE Seminar

 

Mrs. Macarita A. Agocoy, School Administrator of Paraclete Christian Academy asked some questions to the speakers during the Orientation Seminar Workshop for School Administrators on PEAC-FAPE Certification Program last October 15, 2010 at Hotel Fortuna, Cebu City.  The 1-day seminar was sponsored by Fund Assistance for Private Education (FAPE).
